The Server/Guest Experience Ambassador position at NEXDINE in Dallas, TX, offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with an hourly pay rate ranging from $16.00 to $18.00. This role is critical in providing residents, colleagues, and guests with a best-in-class dining experience by ensuring exemplary service at every touchpoint. Reporting to the Director of Dining Services, the Ambassador embarks on a mission to cascade a spirit of hospitality in all interactions and to uphold the high standards that NEXDINE is known for.
This role involves engaging with residents to understand their food and beverage preferences, clearly communicating menu offerings including ingredients and preparation methods, and ensuring complete satisfaction with the service provided. The Ambassador is entrusted with serving food, including specialty diets, and assisting in meal period setup and breakdown while maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas. Working in a dynamic kitchen environment, the Ambassador may also support culinary staff and perform tasks such as dishwashing and equipment handling.
The position demands a strong commitment to customer service, attentiveness, approachability, and proactive communication, especially concerning any customer service issues. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity, and the capacity to lift or move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Employees must be comfortable operating kitchen equipment and working amidst heat, steam, and noise, reflecting the energetic nature of a busy hospitality environment.

Job Duties
- Cascade a spirit of hospitality in all dealings with residents, colleagues and guests
- Lead service of food or beverages to residents and prepare or serve specialty diets and dishes as required
- Engage with residents to obtain desired orders for food or beverages while articulating daily menu offerings
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
- Ensure residents are satisfied with all aspects of service and communicate any customer service issues to supervisor
- Check residents diets, likes and dislikes to ensure requirements are met
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of all scheduled meal periods
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens as needed
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, tidying service station, clearing tables and taking out trash
- May wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils or other cooking equipment
- May assist culinary staff at various stations as directed
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
