The role of Server at Oak View Group is crafted for individuals passionate about hospitality and providing exceptional guest experiences in dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume settings. This position involves directly interacting with guests to deliver attentive, friendly, and professional service, ensuring each customer receives timely and well-presented food and beverages. Servers at OVG must develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of the menu and any special offerings to effectively assist guests and provide accurate information regarding food and drink options. Responsibilities include ensuring that all food items are served promptly and at the proper temperatures, maintaining neat presentation without spill-over, and efficiently managing tables during busy periods by pre-busing and clearing them when needed. Additionally, the role requires stocking beverage stations and maintaining high responsiveness to customer wishes and requests.
Working collaboratively with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to streamline communication and coordination is crucial in this position, as it enhances the overall dining experience for patrons. Servers are also expected to maintain a polished, professional appearance and foster a positive and cooperative work environment through respectful communication with customers and team members alike.

Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card
- Must acquire and maintain Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Must have experience in food service or related job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to work flexible hours including peak event periods
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment preferred
- Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D. or related food service job experience
- Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests in a respectful manner
Job Duties
- Maintain knowledge of the menu and special items
- Provide quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to banquet guests
- Ensure food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability
- Ensure neat presentation of all ordered items with no spill-over
- Pre-bus and bus tables during peak periods
- Maintain availability to work during peak periods
- Stock beverage stations as necessary
- Maintain high responsiveness to customer desires and requests
- Maintain a professional and clean appearance
- Communicate with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff
- Build and maintain knowledge regarding bar offerings
