Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years relevant experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with seating and auction software preferred
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or Event Professional Certification preferred
- 30% travel availability
- Valid driver’s license

- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years relevant experience or 7-8 years related work experience in lieu of education
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with seating and auction software preferred
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or Event Professional Certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Serve as co-lead for major market events such as the Houston Gala, Houston Golf Classic, and Houston Crawfish Boil
- Provide strategic support for other large donor-facing events like the Houston Walk and San Antonio Gala
- Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to create engaging, mission-centered event experiences
- Manage event expenses and develop cost-saving strategies
- Address complex, non-recurring problems with innovative solutions
- Follow ALSAC policies, analyze problems, and adapt guidelines to achieve desired outcomes
- Provide resources for logistics of internal/external events including design, décor, food/beverage, and vendor management for mid to high-tier events
- Collaborate with Marketing for branded collateral
- Conduct market research, gather information, negotiate, and manage projects within budget and time constraints
- Recommend process improvements for cost savings
- Handle issues proactively, troubleshoot on event day, liaison with clients to ensure satisfaction
