Sushi Chef Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant or culinary setting
  • Extensive knowledge of various sushi types, preparation techniques and Japanese culinary traditions
  • Experience in managing a sushi bar and coordinating with kitchen staff
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food preparation, particularly in the context of sushi
  • Exceptional sushi crafting skills with an emphasis on presentation
  • Strong understanding of ingredient quality and freshness in sushi preparation
  • Ability to uphold strict food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
