Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Food Handlers Card
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a culinary or food preparation role preferred
- Ability to follow established recipes and cooking standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule from 6 am to 2 pm
- Willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
- Physical capability to perform job-related tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Availability to work both indoors and outdoors for events
- Clear criminal background check
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items according to established standards and recipes
- Provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- Follow health protocols including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs
- Participate in resident orientations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
