Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Food Handlers Card
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a culinary or food preparation role preferred
  • Ability to follow established recipes and cooking standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • Ability to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule from 6 am to 2 pm
  • Willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Physical capability to perform job-related tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
  • Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • Availability to work both indoors and outdoors for events
  • Clear criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • Provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • Follow health protocols including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
  • Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs
  • Participate in resident orientations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
