This specific opportunity is based in Abbott’s Columbus, Ohio location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. The position offers a standard Monday through Friday work schedule, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and reflects an hourly pay range of $14.55 to $29.15, depending on location and experience. The role focuses primarily on food service, where the employee will manage a variety of food preparation tasks, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and support café management with catering and special projects. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills, customer service experience and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions and understand and follow a recipe
  • Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, high volume would be helpful
  • Quick learning agility with the ability to be flexible and handle several tasks at once or work at multiple stations
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to operate POS system and to correctly count cash transactions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills, customer service experience and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions and understand and follow a recipe
  • Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, high volume would be helpful
  • Quick learning agility with the ability to be flexible and handle several tasks at once or work at multiple stations
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to operate POS system and to correctly count cash transactions
  • Two-year degree or some college credits is preferred
  • ServSafe Food Protection or similar food safety training program

Job Duties

  • Maintain a high level of quality and integrity of food confidence with customers and provide outstanding customer service
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Train for the ability to fill in at many of the café stations
  • Run POS transactions dinner services and late night services while maintaining stock of various front of house items
  • Operate POS system and to correctly count cash transactions
  • Maintain stock of front of house items
  • Prep and fill Deli and Salad Bar stations as needed
