Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel, hospitality, event management, or related field, or combination of equivalent experience and training
  • Four or more years in a higher education setting preferred
  • Six years' experience in conferences and event planning preferred
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience
  • Experience with Event Management System software preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership and coordination for university special events
  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, and operational processes for events
  • Develop and monitor the event management budget
  • Collaborate with campus partners and external clients to ensure event success
  • Deliver high-quality customer service throughout event planning and execution
  • Represent the department on university committees and community partnerships
  • Manage and supervise event staff and resources
