Mount Alverna Village is currently seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC) to join their dedicated team. The position is exempt and requires availability during some evenings and weekends, although the typical schedule is Monday through Friday. The salary ranges from $55,000 to $58,000 annually, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the community. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for all residents served by the community. This position focuses on fostering a culture of engagement by planning, organizing, and implementing a wide variety of recreational activities, therapeutic engagement opportunities, and community events. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will work collaboratively with multiple departments, aligning efforts with the seven dimensions of wellness championed by the Ministry, which include physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, and environmental wellness. Duties encompass advocating passionately for resident involvement, encouraging participation in daily activities, managing administrative tasks such as documentation and calendar coordination, and supporting volunteer and resident involvement in community planning. Additionally, this role involves driving the community bus for outings and medical appointments in a safe and supportive manner, training new associates within the department, and assisting with performance management in coordination with the department leader and human resources. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will also participate in ongoing education via the Relias platform, helping maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as Ministry standards. Beyond the direct engagement with residents, the LEC is instrumental in creating a vibrant atmosphere through program development, decorating for special occasions, and ensuring the environment is welcoming and well-organized.
