Job Description
Konica Minolta Business Solutions is a well-established global company with a rich history spanning over 150 years. Known for its innovative approach and commitment to digital transformation, Konica Minolta supports clients in various industries through its comprehensive Intelligent Connected Workplace portfolio. The company offers a wide range of business technologies, including IT services, intelligent information management, video security solutions, managed print services, and office technology, along with industrial and commercial print solutions. Celebrating over 20 years of excellence in production print and the renowned bizhub brand, Konica Minolta continues to lead the digital commercial printing industry. They have received numerous accolades such as Forbes 2025 America’s Best Large Employers, CRN’s MSP 500 list, and multiple awards recognizing their commitment to customer loyalty and technological innovation.
The Event Strategy & Planning role at Konica Minolta is a critical position designed to elevate the company’s event marketing efforts. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive event strategies that align closely with company objectives to maximize lead generation, customer engagement, and brand awareness. The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of event campaigns, from pre-event planning through to post-event follow-up, continuously optimizing the processes for better outcomes. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to exceed marketing qualified lead (MQL) quotas and drive pipeline revenue while ensuring seamless alignment across event touchpoints.
Key responsibilities include managing complex vendor relationships, including partnerships and sponsorships, and ensuring flawless execution of all events. This position demands a strong focus on tracking and delivering key performance indicators tied directly to revenue generation, while integrating events with broader marketing initiatives such as content marketing, digital advertising, and email campaigns to maximize impact. The role also involves leading the planning and execution of self-hosted events and user conferences aimed at generating new business logos and enhancing customer relationships.
The role requires astute budget management skills, using data to track expenses and maximize return on investment (ROI) while ensuring events are delivered within established budgets. Negotiating sponsorship agreements to secure cost savings forms an essential part of the responsibility. In addition, the candidate will design engaging event content and programming that attract high-quality leads and partner with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted pre- and post-event campaigns that nurture leads and convert attendees into customers.
Success in this role is supported by strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a flexible, solution-oriented mindset capable of managing multiple events simultaneously under changing conditions. Creativity is vital to designing memorable event experiences that drive measurable business outcomes for both prospects and customers.
This position is remote with some required travel (approximately 20%), reflecting Konica Minolta’s commitment to collaborative and flexible work environments. The salary is competitive and based on individual skills, experience, and business needs, reflecting transparent and equitable compensation practices. Konica Minolta also emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in its hiring and employment practices.
