Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales and catering management within the hospitality industry

- Proficiency in creating and managing contracts and detailed event documentation
- Ability to conduct in-person and virtual presentations and site inspections

Job Duties
- Prospecting for new business including internet prospecting, cold calling and contacting former clients to solicit new business
- Attending industry events and programs as needed
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Responding promptly to incoming group and catering business opportunities
- Conducting hotel site inspections and client presentations both in person and virtually
- Creating contracts and booking documentation, including activity tracking and managing client account files
- Detailing event requirements such as food and beverage, setup, and audiovisual needs while making appropriate suggestions
- Creating group resumes and communicating client needs to all hotel departments
- Ensuring hotel staff follow through on client requests
- Using negotiation and creative selling skills to close business and negotiate contracts
