Job Requirements

  • Proficiency with event management software is a plus

  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, communications, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in event planning and project coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management

  • Knowledge of relevant permits, licenses, and insurance requirements

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute campus events and special projects
  • Collaborate with departments and organizations for event coordination
  • Develop and maintain event budgets and timelines
  • Coordinate logistical aspects including venue, catering, and transportation
  • Communicate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Work with marketing teams to promote events
  • Ensure compliance with permits, licenses, and insurance
  • Oversee event staff and volunteers
  • Conduct post-event evaluations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Handle issues during events calmly and efficiently
  • Represent the University professionally
