The Recreation Coordinator position at the Maides Park location is an exciting opportunity to be part of this vibrant community initiative. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be entrusted with leading and managing recreation programs, coordinating facility operations, and facilitating community engagement through the implementation of recreational activities tailored to diverse community needs. Your key responsibilities will include program planning, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and operational management of the recreation facility. In addition to managing day-to-day facility operations, you will help maintain the grounds, ensure security, and foster a welcoming environment for patrons. This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and exhibit professionalism while serving as a positive role model in the community.

In this role, you will also have the chance to contribute to special events, coordinate excursions and day trips, manage risk and safety protocols, and participate in budgeting and financial management related to recreation programs. Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in recreation management, physical education or a closely related field
  • minimum one year of experience in parks and recreation programming
  • experience planning for after-school activities and/or recreation programs for all ages

Job Duties
