Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required or relevant experience
- 3-5 years of nonprofit event management experience
- Experience in fundraising events and cross-functional team collaboration
- Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel to events within and outside New York State
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working in environments with dogs
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Excellent speech, hearing, and manual dexterity for communication and computer use
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit event management or fundraising events
- Experience working collaboratively across development, marketing, and volunteer teams
- Preferred experience with veteran populations or veteran-focused causes
- Demonstrated success managing complex events with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of fundraising event planning and donor cultivation
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Plan and manage logistics for major fundraising events and smaller engagement events throughout the year
- Develop and manage detailed event timelines, work plans, and run-of-show documents
- Oversee event budgets, tracking expenses and revenue
- Manage vendors, venues, production partners, and event-related contracts
- Lead day-of execution to ensure smooth operations and high-quality attendee experiences
- Coordinate communications with marketing for event promotions and materials
- Recruit, train, schedule, and deploy volunteers for events
- Partner with development to support sponsorship fulfillment and donor recognition
- Produce post-event reports including attendance, revenue summaries, and follow-up lists
- Support donor stewardship and contribute insights for future event improvements
