Established as a reputable service company, Aramark continuously strives to make a positive impact not only within its extensive client base but also across the communities and environments where it operates.
The company’s catering division plays a vital role in delivering quality event experiences by managing catering services at varied locations, ranging from central hubs to satellite venues. Aramark’s operational teams are dedicated to upholding brand standards, ensuring safety, and providing outstanding customer service that aligns with the company’s mission and values.
The Catering Service Worker Lead is a pivotal leadership role within Aramark’s catering operations, responsible for supervising and supporting the planning and execution of catering events that vary in size and complexity. This position requires a hands-on leader who can foster a culture of safety and teamwork while managing logistics such as staff coordination, equipment rental, set-up, food preparation, service, and breakdown of catered events. The Catering Service Worker Lead ensures that all initiatives and brand standards are consistently met, contributing directly to Aramark’s reputation for excellence.
Key responsibilities include booking events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing when required. The individual in this role supports human resource activities such as hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews, ensuring that a motivated, well-trained team is in place. Coordination with other internal departments and participation in management team meetings are essential to maintaining seamless operations and strong interdepartmental relationships. Additionally, the position interfaces directly with vendors and key clients, cultivating strong external customer relationships and representing Aramark and its clients professionally at all meetings and events.
Maintaining high standards for sanitation, organization, and safety is fundamental to this role, achieved through diligent supervision, checklist use, and follow-up actions. The Catering Service Worker Lead is also actively involved in training programs, both participating and helping to develop initiatives for hourly, part-time, and student employees, ensuring a consistently skilled workforce. Adherence to Aramark’s OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines is a critical aspect of the role, aligning operational practices with the company’s broader strategic framework.
The role demands physical endurance and flexibility, as it may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. The use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to maintain safety and compliance with company policies. Aramark is committed to providing a supportive work environment where employees can thrive and develop new skills while contributing to the success of their teams and the satisfaction of their customers.
