As a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, Bussers are essential team members who contribute to the overall hospitality ambiance by supporting waitstaff and management while respectfully engaging with guests. Key responsibilities involve clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables with complete place settings, maintaining the cleanliness of dining and common areas, and assisting team members during slower times. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Busser role preferred but not required
  • Punctuality and strong work ethic

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a large section
  • Willingness to receive constructive feedback
  • Physical ability to stand and move for periods up to 5 hours
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Weekend availability is a must

Job Qualifications

  • High school education is required
  • Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
  • Ideally have 1+ year previous experience in a Busser position, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Openness to being coached and mentored
  • Ability to be cross-trained in multiple restaurant positions

Job Duties

  • Engage in personable, prompt, and polite interactions with Guests
  • Respond to questions and know where to find information if unknown
  • Clear, clean, set, and re-set tables with complete place settings including silverware, glasses, dishes, and napkins
  • Exercise care with all restaurant equipment, dishes, silverware, and glasses to ensure minimum breakage
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining and common areas including tables, counters, equipment, restrooms, and floors at all times
  • Proactively assist other team members or as requested by manager during any down time
  • Notify management of any comments, suggestions, or complaints from any Guests
