The Server Assistant role at Reunion Kitchen + Drink involves supporting the front-of-house operations by serving plates, glasses, and silverware, refilling beverages, and maintaining cleanliness of tables and dining areas. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are highly motivated. The Server Assistant plays a crucial role in preparing the dining and patio areas before guests are seated, ensuring table settings including tableware, candles, and condiments are in place and the environment is clean and inviting. Throughout the shift, the Server Assistant serves water and occasional welcome snacks such as chips and salsa, refills beverages, and assists with clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests leave. Maintaining health and safety regulations across kitchen and dining areas is an essential part of the responsibilities to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests. The job requires considerable physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and grasping items with fine manipulation using hands, and the ability to work extended shifts of 8-10 hours. Successful candidates must have a current food handler's card and, if over 18, an RBS card, along with adherence to California workplace harassment training and any additional legally required training.
