Job Description
Tao Group Hospitality is a premier hospitality company known for delivering distinctive culinary and premium entertainment experiences globally. Operating a portfolio that includes celebrated restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, and daylife venues, Tao Group Hospitality consistently elevates the hospitality industry standards through creativity and innovation. The company features a diverse collection of widely recognized brands, such as TAO, OMNIA, Marquee, LAVO, Beauty & Essex, Cathédrale, Little Sister, The Highlight Room, Sake No Hana, KOMA, Avenue, Fleur Room, JEWEL, and many more. With over 25 years of experience, Tao Group Hospitality is part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm centered on luxury lifestyle and hospitality sectors, ensuring that all their venues offer unforgettable guest experiences combining both entertainment and superior service.
The role of Busser at Tao Group Hospitality is designed for individuals passionate about contributing to the seamless guest service flow within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This part-time position offers compensation at a competitive rate of $17.87 per hour, attracting individuals eager to be part of a highly dynamic team. The Busser supports Floor and Cocktail Servers by resetting tables efficiently and professionally, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the service areas, and anticipating guest needs to enhance overall dining experience.
Busser team members play a critical role in ensuring that guests receive gracious hospitality by interacting courteously and effectively with dining room and lounge guests, coworkers, supervisors, and managers. The position involves a variety of tasks including clearing and resetting tables, communicating guest needs to other support staff, filling and refilling water for guests, and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with health department regulations. Team members are expected to engage actively in the service process to help guarantee guest satisfaction and contribute positively to the team environment.
Proper setup and maintenance of floor and side stations are vital components of this role. Bussers are responsible for setting tables correctly, ensuring cleanliness of tables, chairs, and banquettes, stocking side stations with necessary supplies, and performing opening and closing side work procedures as directed by management. The ideal candidate will participate fully in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and maintain a positive, professional attitude that reflects Tao Group Hospitality's values.
Physical demands include the ability to stand, kneel, bend, and move swiftly throughout the venue, sometimes handling items up to 50 lbs. The work environment may expose team members to varying noise levels, crowds, smoke, hot kitchen elements, and cleaning materials. Flexibility is essential as shifts may extend into evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the operational demands of vibrant hospitality settings such as casinos, nightclubs, bars, lounges, and restaurants.
This role is more than just a support function; it is an opportunity to grow within a renowned hospitality brand, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences. Candidates will benefit from comprehensive in-venue training specific to Tao Group Hospitality and may be eligible for a range of benefits including paid time off, pet insurance, retirement programs with employer match, employee assistance programs, discounts, and more. The Busser position provides a foundational platform for those seeking to build a career in hospitality and thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment where every detail counts.
