The role of Banquet Server at Oak View Group offers a unique opportunity to contribute to this dynamic environment by delivering outstanding hospitality in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing fine dining-level food and beverage services to guests during various events, ensuring that every interaction reflects the company’s high standards. This hourly role is based on an hourly wage ranging from $6.00 to $8.00 and is tip-eligible, adding to the potential earnings. The Banquet Server position demands a customer-focused, professional attitude and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail. You will read and understand Banquet Event Orders, set up and maintain food and beverage stations, manage inventory, and keep event areas organized and tidy. Working collaboratively with team members and independently during slower times, you will help create a welcoming and seamless dining experience for guests. The role requires the physical ability to handle and move heavy objects and carry multiple entrees per tray, supporting operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in events banquets or restaurants preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and select holidays
  • Must be detail-oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to handle and move objects
  • Must have a customer-focused positive and professional attitude
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic including addition subtraction multiplication and division
  • Must be able to lift push pull or carry heavy objects often
  • Must be punctual with consistent attendance
  • Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers members of the business community and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray

Job Duties

  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders
  • Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met
  • Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service
  • Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations
  • Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
  • Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
  • Work independently during slower times
  • Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment
  • Have a high level of social contact and ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons
