The role of a Server at Courtyard by Marriott Brownsville focuses on providing prompt, friendly, and accurate food and beverage service to hotel guests. This position requires a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and teamwork, supporting the overall hospitality standards set by MCR. Servers are responsible for greeting guests warmly, taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals efficiently, and ensuring payment is accurately processed. This role also includes preparing specialty coffee and drinks, managing table settings, assisting with daily inventory tasks, and maintaining food safety standards. Additionally, the Server supports the cleanliness and overall ambiance of the hotel dining areas and demonstrates a solid understanding of the hotel’s amenities and services.

This position demands flexibility, including availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the hospitality industry’s dynamic nature. Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise, or related field preferred

  • proficient in guest service with friendly demeanor
  • knowledge of food and beverage offerings
  • familiarity with POS systems and basic coffee preparation
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options
  • deliver hot and order items promptly from kitchen to tables
  • input orders into POS system and process accurate payments
  • prepare coffee and specialized drinks

  • observe diners and respond promptly to requests
