Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and hospitality, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. With a dedication rooted deeply in service and a commitment to positive outcomes for colleagues, partners, communities, and the planet, Aramark fosters an inclusive and empowering workplace where employees are encouraged to grow professionally and personally. The company is well-known for its dedication to equitable treatment, diversity, and a strict non-discrimination policy encompassing race, gender, religion, disability, and other protected characteristics. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time opportunities, Aramark offers a range of positions from entry-level to management across various sectors including food services and facilities management.
The role of Food Server at Aramark involves supporting the manager through a variety of important tasks related to meal preparation and kitchen operations. This position plays a key role in food and meal preparation, ensuring that all meals are produced in line with predetermined menus to meet quality and safety standards. The Food Server is responsible for overseeing cash receipts, updating meal records, and helping to complete daily reports that maintain operational accuracy. In addition to these administrative and operational duties, the Food Server must ensure the kitchen adheres rigorously to all food production, sanitation, and safety regulations. This includes maintaining food storage standards to preserve flavor and nutrients, consistently monitoring food temperatures to ensure safety, and following proper food handling protocols.
On the culinary side, the Food Server is tasked with the preparation and garnishing of meals to enhance their visual appeal and customer satisfaction. The role requires proficiency in handling and caring for food preparation tools, especially cutting tools, as well as the ability to expedite food preparation to meet service schedules efficiently. Distributing meals according to prescribed policies and schedules ensures smooth dining room operations and a positive guest experience.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the kitchen and food service areas is another critical aspect of this role. The Food Server contributes by cleaning refrigerators, freezers, kitchen surfaces, tools, and other workspaces, as well as managing waste and ensuring that garbage collection areas remain clean and orderly. Adherence to uniform policies and the use of personal protective equipment where required are mandatory to uphold occupational safety and professional standards.
This position also demands a strong physical capability as it involves lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and spending extended periods walking or standing. With a high school diploma or equivalent education preferred, applicants must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure effectively and follow both verbal and written instructions accurately. Food Service Certification is required, along with skills to interpret and track guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Joining Aramark as a Food Server means becoming part of a company that values your development and supports your career ambitions. Beyond just a job, this opportunity offers a chance to work in a team-oriented and inclusive environment where your contributions help create exceptional service experiences for customers and meaningful community impact.
