Job Description

The hiring establishment is a reputable private club that prides itself on providing exceptional dining experiences to its members and guests. Known for its upscale environment, the club offers a blend of fine cuisine, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere that allows guests to enjoy memorable meals in both the dining room and outdoor patio areas. The private club has built its reputation over the years by valuing quality food, attentive service, and maintaining a clean and inviting setting for all visitors. The club employs a team of dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to create a seamless dining experience that caters to the tastes and preferences of each member. The position available is for a Server, who will play a vital role in upholding the club's tradition of excellence. The employment is likely on a flexible schedule, emphasizing adaptable hours to meet the varying demands of the club's dining operations. Compensation details are not specified but are typically competitive within the hospitality sector and commensurate with experience and skills.

As a Server at this private club, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service to all club members and guests. This role requires a professional, courteous, and attentive individual who is committed to ensuring a fine dining experience for every patron served. The Server is expected to maintain a polished appearance, arrive punctually, and be dressed according to the club's uniform standards. Responsibilities include setting up server stations, preparing the dining areas both indoors and on the patio, greeting guests warmly, and providing immediate and personalized service upon seating. You will be expected to address members by their last names, demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of daily menu specials including soups, lunches, and dinners, and suggest appropriate menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.

The Server's duties extend to taking and accurately communicating cocktail, beverage, and food orders with clear instructions for special requests. You will coordinate closely with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Presentation is important, requiring servers to serve drinks from the right and food from the left side, while ensuring constant attention to the guests' satisfaction and replenishing items such as drinks, munchies, rolls, and various toast selections. Additionally, you will manage the clearing and bussing of tables, present bills accurately to members, and maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas. Proactive communication with team members, management, and members is vital, as well as assisting colleagues when necessary to maintain the smooth operation of the dining room.

The role requires commitment to attend pre-shift meetings and participation in clean-up and closing duties, including maintaining and restocking server stations, cleaning silverware, vacuuming dining areas, and ensuring all service standards are met consistently.
