The Meeting & Events Planner position at CBRE involves leading the successful execution of events as the primary point of contact for clients and the main communicator of event details to the meeting and events operations team. This role requires a highly organized and proactive professional who can guide clients through the entire event planning process, from initial consultation to post-event reconciliation. The planner manages critical aspects such as furniture and equipment configurations, audiovisual requirements, food and beverage service, transportation arrangements, and other attendee services. This comprehensive responsibility ensures events run smoothly and meet or exceed client expectations.
Serving as the primary contact for high-profile and large-scale engagements, the Meeting & Events Planner develops and communicates detailed, end-to-end event plans, using industry best practices. They manage complex master event calendars and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver flawless events. This role demands advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to address any unexpected issues proactively. The planner is also responsible for logistical coordination on the day of the event, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with site safety and security regulations.
Additionally, the planner handles budget adherence, including the creation and monitoring of event budgets, reviewing invoices, and suggesting improvements for cost efficiency. They build and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal partners to foster effective communication and collaboration. The position may also provide mentoring and informal guidance to junior team members.

Job Qualifications
