The Sales & Events Executive role at The Godfrey Hotel Boston is a newly created position, prompted by the ongoing growth and expansion of the property and its commercial operations. This position is an exciting opportunity within a dynamic Commercial team that includes experienced leaders across Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations. The role offers an immersive learning experience, positioning the successful candidate at the intersection of multiple departments, with direct exposure to the broader commercial strategy that drives hotel performance.

Primarily focused on sales and events management, the Sales & Events Executive will play an integral role in fostering client relationships, managing event logistics, and supporting the seamless execution of group business from initial inquiry through event completion. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.

Beyond the core sales and event functions, this role entails close collaboration with Revenue Management and Marketing teams, offering a comprehensive perspective on how various commercial initiatives contribute to the hotel's overall success. The Sales & Events Executive will serve as an essential bridge between commercial strategy and hotel operations, facilitating effective communication and coordination to ensure flawless event delivery and elevated guest experiences. From preparing proposals and contracts to coordinating site visits and managing post-event documentation, the responsibilities are diverse and impactful. Job Requirements

  • Hospitality experience in sales events front office or hotel operations strongly preferred
  • proficiency in microsoft office suite including outlook excel word and powerpoint
  • experience with hotel systems such as opera cloud delphi cvent travelclick/amadeus or similar platforms preferred
  • self-motivated resourceful and eager to learn with an interest in commercial strategy and hotel revenue generation
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality business or a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Qualifications

  • Hospitality experience in Sales, Events, Front Office, or Hotel Operations

Job Duties

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Sales & Events team
  • manage group, corporate, and event inquiries, ensuring timely communication throughout the sales cycle
  • prepare proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event resumes, rooming lists, and post-event documentation
  • coordinate client site inspections, hotel tours, familiarization visits, and VIP experiences
  • support the execution of group and event business from contract through arrival
  • maintain accurate client records and activity within Opera Sales & Catering and other commercial systems
  • serve as the liaison between commercial strategy and hotel operations, ensuring seamless communication and execution of group and event business
