The Sr. Events Manager position at Greentown Labs is a cross-functional role reporting directly to the Director of Startup Experience and Events. This role is responsible for leading the project management and execution of the event strategy at Greentown's Boston location. The role requires a highly collaborative and dynamic individual who can work seamlessly across multiple teams within Greentown Labs to develop high-quality programming that aligns with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. The focus of this role is on creating event experiences that bring together diverse stakeholders to act on climate change effectively. The Sr. Events Manager will coordinate with colleagues, startups, corporate partners, industry leaders, executives, investors, and more to ensure that the event experience is best-in-class and meets the highest standards. Key responsibilities include executing Greentown Boston’s event strategy and calendar, developing programming themes, conducting speaker outreach, session development, and strategic scheduling. The individual will also manage event budgeting, revenue tracking, data management, and performance analysis to continually refine and enhance the event strategy. Moreover, this position entails overseeing third-party events, sponsorships, and paid tours, encompassing pricing, positioning, contract development, and stakeholder engagement. This manager will drive all aspects of event planning, project management, logistics, and execution, including vendor coordination, catering, signage, space setup, onsite operations, registration platforms, Zoom management, and post-event processes. Greentown Labs offers a hybrid work environment with an expectation for the manager to be on-site in Somerville, MA, at least three days a week. The compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 annually. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • 5-8+ years of experience in event strategy or event management
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with event management software and digital platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and travel as needed

Job Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in event strategy management partnerships or related fields
  • Proven experience leading events from concept to execution including budgeting logistics and stakeholder management
  • Experience with event and project management tools such as Luma Zoom Airtable and CRM platforms

Job Duties

  • Execute Greentown Boston’s event strategy and calendar including programming themes speaker outreach session development and scheduling
  • Partner with leadership to align events partnerships and sponsorships with organizational goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate promote and ensure quality of events across locations
  • Oversee event budgeting revenue tracking data management and performance analysis
  • Lead third-party events sponsorships and paid tours including pricing positioning contract development and stakeholder management
  • Manage event logistics vendor coordination catering signage setup onsite operations and event production workflows
  • Support internal teams in execution of their events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
