The Senior Events Manager role at Legends Global is based at View Boston, one of Boston's most iconic event venues. The position is pivotal in driving private event revenue by securing and managing a wide array of corporate, social, and special event bookings. This role commands a strategic approach to business development, emphasizing prospecting and cultivating strong relationships with event planners, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), corporate clients, and other partners. The Senior Events Manager’s responsibilities span the entire sales cycle, starting from lead generation and client consultation to proposal development, contract negotiation, and ultimately handing off events to the operations team. Positioning View Boston as a premier destination for unforgettable private events, the role involves participating actively in the Boston meetings and events community as a brand ambassador, including attending networking events, conducting site tours, and representing the venue at industry functions. A successful candidate for this role will bring a strong sales acumen, extensive knowledge of the Boston events market, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to convert inquiries into high-value events. The position demands leadership, excellent communication, negotiation capabilities, and the capacity to manage complex event logistics effectively. Moreover, the Senior Events Manager is expected to collaborate closely with internal teams, such as catering and marketing, to ensure seamless event execution and optimal customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of CRM and TripleSeat preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Drive sales for private and corporate events
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
