VDA is currently expanding its team and offers freelance and part-time opportunities to support warehouse operations, event productions, and logistics. These roles are integral to the seamless execution of world-class events, involving preparation, transportation, setup, and operation of technical and scenic elements on site. The positions available include Warehouse Helper, Scenic Technician, Lighting Technician, Video Technician, Audio Technician, Van Driver, and Truck Driver (16'-26' Box Truck).
As a Warehouse Helper, you will assist with organizing, packing, loading event materials, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and tracking inventory, as well as supporting event setups and breakdowns. Scenic Technicians are responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing scenic elements using carpentry and painting skills, ensuring elements are transported and set up safely and efficiently. Lighting Technicians will set up and operate lighting systems, perform rigging and cabling, and resolve any lighting issues during events. Audio Technicians manage the setup and operation of audio equipment, troubleshoot sound concerns, and assist with loading and unloading AV gear. Van and Truck Drivers are tasked with transporting event equipment safely and on schedule, loading and unloading materials with careful attention to organization and protection.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, scenic construction, technical setup, or driving preferred
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials
- Valid driver’s license for driving roles
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in your respective role (warehouse, scenic, lighting, audio, or driving) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions (CDL not required for box truck drivers)
- Availability for flexible, event-based schedules, including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Assist in organizing, packing, and loading event materials and equipment
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and inventory tracking
- Support event setup and breakdown as needed
- Construct, assemble, and install scenic elements for event setups
- Work with carpentry, painting, and other fabrication materials
- Ensure scenic elements are transported and set up safely and efficiently
- Assist in setting up and operating lighting equipment for events
- Ensure proper rigging and cabling of lighting systems
- Troubleshoot any lighting issues during setup and execution
- Set up and manage audio equipment, including speakers, microphones, and mixing consoles
- Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure high-quality sound for events
- Assist in load-in and load-out of AV equipment
- Transport event equipment and materials to and from event locations
- Safely load and unload materials with attention to organization and protection
- Ensure all transportation is completed on schedule and according to safety standards
