Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to move food serving and preparation equipment, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity including depth perception and peripheral vision
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Proficient ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to read, write and understand business documents written in English
- Effective verbal communication skills with residents, families, visitors and co-workers
- Ability to make self clearly understood by others
- Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
Job Duties
- Must be upbeat, courteous, and positive
- Possesses great guest relation and communications skills
- Deliver hospitality, enhance every guest experience
- Be able to navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items
- Demonstrate extensive menu knowledge
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Be able to send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system
- Partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Cash handling, including counting and balancing cash register
- Ensure all payments are processed timely, accurately, and correctly
- Maintain the confidentiality of guest information
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work well with others
- Must be able to adhere to our Buckner Service Standards
