Job Description

StudyPoint is a distinguished tutoring company that has been dedicated to providing personalized, one-on-one academic support to students across the United States since 1999. Founded on the principle of offering a better alternative to impersonal, large-scale learning centers, StudyPoint places a strong emphasis on tailored education that meets the unique needs of each student. With over two decades of experience and having assisted more than 55,000 students, the organization stands out for its deep commitment to educational excellence, comprehensive training for tutors, and innovative resources designed to support student success in both academic subjects and the high school or college admissions process.

StudyPoint’s success is built on its elite tutoring staff, who are engaging, energetic, and highly responsive to the needs of their students, parents, and fellow employees. Tutors create a safe and positive learning environment where students can thrive, building confidence and achieving their academic goals. This role demands individuals who are not only knowledgeable in subject matter but who also have the adaptability, organization, and dedication required to cater to diverse learners. Tutors at StudyPoint have the distinct advantage of being supported by extensive training programs, a dedicated mentorship team, and a manager to guide them throughout their tutoring journey.

Currently, StudyPoint is seeking tutors to provide in-home academic support and homework assistance specifically for elementary and middle school students. Subjects include math, language arts, science, social studies, and more. Tutors are expected to be passionate about education and skilled in teaching reading, writing, and math skills appropriate for grades K-8. The company values dynamic and patient personalities, favoring classroom teachers or paraprofessionals with a strong academic background and a minimum of two years of relevant teaching or tutoring experience.

The position offers significant flexibility, allowing tutors to design their own schedules and choose service areas from a wide list of towns such as Dallas, Fort Worth, Richardson, Garland, Arlington, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Denton, Keller, and Southlake. This flexibility is ideal for tutors seeking part-time employment that fits around their other commitments, including outside tutoring engagements.

As an employee, StudyPoint's tutors are W-2 staff, not independent contractors, and receive paid training to ensure they are well-prepared to support their students effectively. The company also encourages growth and reward through referral bonuses for bringing in new students and fellow tutors. Additionally, there is no non-compete agreement, allowing tutors to continue private or other organizational tutoring while working with StudyPoint.

Typical tutoring hours generally fall outside of traditional school times, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with a minimum expectation of six hours per week. This role offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $28.00 to $32.00, providing a rewarding career opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in students' educational journeys.

StudyPoint prides itself on being a values-driven workplace and an equal opportunity employer. The company respects all backgrounds and perspectives, ensuring there is no discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any other non-merit factors. This commitment to diversity and inclusion helps foster an engaging and supportive work environment where tutors can thrive professionally while contributing to student success across the country.
