The role offered with Equation Events is a part-time 1099 contractor position involving extensive travel within the United States. All travel-related expenses such as flights, hotels, and per diems are fully covered, allowing the contractor to focus completely on the event experience. As an event manager/operator, the individual will set up and operate interactive technology-based activations, including VR, AR, and photo booths, acting as the on-site lead responsible for smooth execution and client satisfaction. The position demands maintaining high energy at events to create an engaging, exciting atmosphere that enhances attendee participation. The event manager will provide expert guidance in using the interactive equipment, delivering white glove service with professionalism and patience.

Safety is a top priority, and the event manager must ensure all safety protocols are followed, including sanitizing the equipment, securing wrist guards, and maintaining safe pathways for attendees. Capturing the event’s success through high-quality photography is another key responsibility, with the expectation to take between 8 to 10 photos that represent the excitement and engagement of attendees accurately. After each event, the manager must provide a prompt, detailed recap highlighting what went well and offering recommendations for continuous improvement of future events. Proper care for the event equipment is essential, requiring thorough cleaning, packing, and organization to avoid damages and deductions in pay.
