The Baylor Club is currently seeking a dedicated part-time Banquet Server to join their customer service team. The Banquet Server role is essential in maintaining the high standards of service expected at The Baylor Club and Oak View Group venues. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $6.00 to $8.00 plus tips, making it a competitive opportunity in the hospitality field. As a Banquet Server, the individual will be responsible for reading and understanding Banquet Event Orders to ensure all services align with event expectations. The role requires the ability to work independently during slower periods while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum one year work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Detail-oriented with ability to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Multitasking skills
- Physical ability to handle and move objects
- Customer-focused with positive and professional attitude
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often
- Punctuality and consistent attendance
- Ability to respond to simple customer complaints or inquiries
- Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred
- Minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Must be detail-oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to handle and move objects

- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Must be punctual with consistent attendance
- Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies
- Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
Job Duties
- Read and understand Banquet Event Orders
- Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service
- Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met
- Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service
- Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations
- Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
- Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
- Work independently during slower times
- Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment
- Have a high level of social contact
- ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons
