The role available is that of a Restaurant Server, a frontline position that directly contributes to the overall guest experience by providing courteous, professional, and efficient service of food and beverages. Employees in this position play a vital role in upholding the hotel's standards of operation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Servers are responsible for all aspects of guest service from the moment guests arrive until they leave, including preparing the venue for service, accurately taking and delivering orders, handling payments, and completing opening and closing side work as directed by management.

Job Requirements

  • Associate is expected to take food and beverage orders correctly, giving prompt, efficient and correct delivery of order to the guest
  • Promptly presenting the guest with a check and collecting all monies for full payment of check
  • Keeps the immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
  • Excellent communication, organizational and guest service skills required
  • At all times projects a favorable image of the hotel to the public
  • Must have open availability work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to cook per guidelines
  • Must be able to tend bar and serve Starbucks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, move continuously during work hours, lift and/or carry 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational and guest service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, bar tending and Starbucks service
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Providing value added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed the guest expectations
  • Communication effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Ensure that the restaurant is in proper condition for the arrival of guest
  • Complete opening and closing side work as directed by your supervisor/manager
  • Greet and welcome all guests with a smile at the tables, suggest specials using suggestive selling techniques
  • Adheres to hotel’s standards of operations
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
