The role available is a full-time Food and Beverage Attendant position, primarily working the evening PM shift from 4pm to 11pm, with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $17. This position is integral to enhancing the guest dining experience by efficiently taking and serving food and beverage orders, ranging from non-alcoholic drinks to specialty cocktails and meals. The attendant will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive courteous, timely, and professional service in accordance with hotel policies and standards.
In addition to serving guests, the attendant will handle the collection of payments, assist with maintenance of the restaurant area, and support daily operations. The role demands a high level of customer interaction, requiring excellent communication skills and a good understanding of menu items and beverage offerings, particularly alcoholic beverages, necessitating certification such as TIPS or CARE. Job Requirements
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or work equivalent
- Good understanding of the English language
- Previous guest or customer relations training
- Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service preferred
- Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified or become certified by first day on the job
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system

Job Duties
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Collect payments from customers
- Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
- Take orders from patrons for food or beverages
- Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required
