Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of food service leadership experience
- Previous waitress or server or restaurant or hospitality experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of food service leadership experience
- Previous waitress, server, or hospitality experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience supervising staff in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
- Experience in skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare dining preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and healthcare food service operations preferred
- Associate degree in hospitality, food service management, or related field preferred
Job Duties
- Lead front-of-house dining operations for residents and guests
- Ensure restaurant-style dining experience promoting dignity and hospitality
- Conduct daily dining room rounds and address resident satisfaction
- Resolve meal service concerns professionally
- Monitor food presentation, tray accuracy, and dining appearance
- Coordinate therapeutic diets with dietary and nursing teams
- Supervise dietary aides, servers, and dining room staff
- Develop staffing schedules and assignments
- Train staff on hospitality, customer service, infection control, and meal procedures
- Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and sanitary
- Oversee meal service flow and timely tray delivery
- Act as second-in-command to the Director of Food Services
- Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluations
- Conduct shift meetings and maintain communication between departments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and CMS regulations
- Monitor infection prevention and food safety standards
- Assist quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain service logs and sanitation records
- Coordinate holiday meals, resident parties, and catering events
- Support dining initiatives and hospitality enhancements
