The Public Areas Attendant position at Grand Hyatt DFW is a vital role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall aesthetic of hotel public spaces during the evening shift from 3:30 PM to midnight. This role supports hotel operations by ensuring guest areas such as lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and event spaces meet Hyatt’s high standards. Beyond cleaning duties, the position involves responding professionally to guest requests, assisting with room cleaning when necessary, performing light administrative tasks, and collaborating with various departments to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
The attendant acts as the frontline in delivering exceptional guest experiences by creating immaculate and inviting spaces throughout the hotel. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing multiple areas with attention to detail and health standards. Additionally, the role requires restocking supplies in public restrooms and service areas, managing waste removal, reporting maintenance or safety issues, supporting evening hotel operations, and assisting housekeeping communication through office duties.
This position demands strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with guests, supervisors, housekeeping staff, front office personnel, engineering, security, and other teams. The ability to work independently and as part of a smaller evening shift team is essential, alongside a professional appearance and attitude. Working the PM shift including weekends and holidays as per business needs is required.
The Grand Hyatt DFW offers an excellent benefits package that reflects Hyatt’s commitment to its colleagues. This includes free room nights, discounted and friends & family room rates, comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with company match, and paid time off including vacation, sick days, new child leave, and personal days. Additional benefits include paid family bonding time, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, free colleague meals during shifts, employee stock purchase plans, and various retail discounts.
Joining the Grand Hyatt DFW team means becoming part of a prestigious brand synonymous with superior service, elevation, and classic hospitality values. It is an opportunity to contribute to exceptional guest experiences, develop professionally, and thrive within a supportive and inclusive culture. If you are passionate about hospitality and ready to embark on a rewarding career path during the evening shift, this role could be your perfect next step.
