Job Description
ResCare Community Living, a valued part of the Sevita family, has been a committed provider of specialized support services since 1974. This well-established organization focuses on empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to live more independent and fulfilling lives at home and within their communities. With over four decades of experience, ResCare Community Living operates with a person-centered approach, fostering skill development, overcoming challenges, and maximizing each individual's full potential. As an integral component of Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based health care services across the United States, ResCare benefits from a wide network of resources and a robust support system, ensuring long-term stability and growth for both clients and employees. Sevita's mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. With a workforce of over 40,000 team members, the organization serves approximately 50,000 individuals, making it one of the nation’s most trusted names in community health care and support services.
The role of Direct Support Program Coordinator at ResCare Community Living offers an exciting career progression for experienced direct care professionals who are passionate about making a tangible difference in people’s lives. This position emphasizes leadership, program development, and personalized service delivery. The primary responsibility is to design, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans for the individuals served. The coordinator plays a critical role in assessing the needs of referred individuals, collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and participating in planning around service delivery and goals. Additionally, this role involves supporting and mentoring direct support staff, providing leadership in the absence of managerial personnel, and ensuring that all behavioral intervention strategies and programs are accurately followed and regularly updated.
As a Direct Support Program Coordinator, you will actively facilitate access to necessary medical and health-related services for the individuals receiving care. This includes working closely with families, healthcare providers, and funding sources to ensure coordinated and effective support. The position demands a delicate balance between administrative coordination and hands-on leadership, requiring a consistent commitment to quality and compassionate service. There is a strong emphasis on effective communication, teamwork, and fostering a supportive work environment to promote staff development and positive outcomes for those served. The role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, and as-needed schedule options and includes valuable benefits such as paid time off, health insurance for full-time employees, paid training, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for career growth within a stable, federally and state-funded organization. By joining ResCare Community Living, you will become part of a dedicated and caring team that values your contributions and shares a common goal of enhancing independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
