The company's commitment to equal opportunity and inclusivity ensures a diverse work environment that considers all applicants without regard to race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics.

The Windows Server Engineer role is a specialized position based in Plano, TX, designed for a seasoned professional proficient in Windows server infrastructure and automation. This is an 18-month contract with strong potential for conversion to a full-time employee, requiring the candidate to work onsite three days per week. The position is a direct W2 employment opportunity, explicitly ruling out C2C arrangements. The pay rate is competitive at $70.24 per hour.

This role goes beyond traditional operational support, focusing instead on modernization and automation of enterprise Windows server platforms. Responsibilities include engineering automation initiatives such as automated image creation, OS deployment, patch management, and platform standardization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Server technologies, including advanced PowerShell scripting, experience with image-building tools like Packer, and proficient use of continuous integration tools like Jenkins. Familiarity with version control platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket, as well as VMware infrastructure support, is also essential.

Working within Agile and DevOps environments, the Windows Server Engineer will help implement infrastructure remediation and lifecycle management processes, contributing to a more efficient, standardized, and secure server environment. The role not only emphasizes technical expertise but also the ability to collaborate with teams on automation-driven projects that enhance the reliability and scalability of Windows server platforms.

TEKsystems offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible candidates, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance; 401(k) retirement plans with pre-tax and Roth options; life insurance; short and long-term disability; health spending accounts; transportation benefits; employee assistance programs; and various forms of paid time off. This role provides a hybrid work model with partial onsite presence expected, fostering team collaboration and access to necessary infrastructure.

With a closing date of August 14, 2026, this opportunity is ideal for experienced Windows server professionals looking to advance their careers within a dynamic, supportive environment that values innovation and inclusive collaboration.
