Job Description
ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, is an established provider dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently. Since 1974, this organization has been committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve by providing personalized, person-centered services that promote growth, skill-building, and community integration. With decades of experience and a compassionate, committed team, ResCare Community Living supports individuals in achieving their full potential, overcoming personal and behavioral challenges, and living fulfilling lives.
Sevita, the parent organization of ResCare Community Living, is a leading national provider of home and community-based specialized health care. They serve over 50,000 individuals across the United States with a team of 40,000 dedicated employees who strive to innovate and improve care continually. The company strongly believes that every person deserves to live a full, independent life and is devoted to providing services that meet the unique needs of each individual, regardless of their physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges.
The role of a Caregiver at Sevita offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful work every day. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in helping people grow, learn, and live well by developing strong, authentic relationships with those you support. You'll work closely with participants to assist them in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, supporting behavioral and complex needs, and helping them reach developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. This position allows individuals who are compassionate and patient to find meaningful employment, contributing directly to improving the lives of others. The work environment promotes ownership and trust, empowering caregivers to make decisions that ensure the well-being and happiness of participants.
This is a rewarding role that not only makes a difference in the lives of individuals but also fosters personal growth and development for the caregivers themselves. Sevita offers competitive pay starting at $9 per hour, pay on demand, and a full benefits package for full-time employees, including a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match. Paid time off and holiday pay are also provided, ensuring caregivers have the opportunity to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Networks of support are in place through dedicated supervisors who care deeply about both the participants and the caregivers. Job security is strong within this stable and growing company, and there is a genuine commitment to learning and development, with ongoing training and resources to build a fulfilling career.
Sevita is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds and ensuring a nondiscriminatory environment. This combined with the mission-driven culture makes working here both professionally and personally rewarding for those who share a passion for care and community service.
