Managing over 15,000 units across the United States, Discovery Management Group is a large and expanding senior living family that consistently earns recognition for its workplace environment, attaining the Great Place to Work certifications consecutively from 2022 through 2027. The company's approach is guided by a clear purpose, fueled by a strong culture, and propelled by a growth-oriented future. They emphasize investing in their team members' professional development, ensuring that each employee has access to ongoing learning opportunities and the necessary tools to cultivate a meaningful and rewarding career. This commitment to a supportive work environment reflects their deep-rooted values and dedication to employee growth and satisfaction.
At Discovery Village Stone Oak, part of Discovery Management Group, the role of Concierge is pivotal in delivering exceptional experiences within their senior living community. The Concierge acts as the first point of contact for residents, families, guests, and team members, setting a welcoming and professional tone that enriches the lives of seniors daily. This position is integral to maintaining smooth operations at the community’s front desk, managing communications efficiently, supporting resident services, and fostering a warm, organized, and attentive environment. The part-time role typically shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM, including weekends and rotating weekdays, located at 21802 Encino Commons, San Antonio, TX.
The Concierge is responsible for professionally handling telephone and reception duties, managing incoming calls with courtesy and efficiency, and forwarding important messages promptly. Additionally, the role involves welcoming visitors warmly, responding to inquiries, and providing clear directions. Maintaining and organizing various administrative documents such as resident phone lists, move-in and move-out registers, guest logs, and appointment schedules is essential. Coordination of resident and family appointments, including transportation and salon services, and assisting with meal ticket preparation and tracking meals for Dining Services enhance the Concierge's support for both residents and staff.
The position demands someone with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer literacy and discretion in maintaining confidentiality are required. The community culture embraces core values such as teamwork, integrity, accountability, compassion, performance, hard work, and creativity, which guide the daily functions and overall environment, making Discovery Village Stone Oak a rewarding workplace dedicated to excellence. Working here means joining a community committed to positive change and continuous improvement both for residents and team members alike.
