Job Description

The American Cancer Society is currently seeking a part-time Concierge to join its Dallas, Texas location. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for guests arriving at the ACS facility. The Concierge will act as the first point of contact for visitors, managing front desk operations, and providing exceptional customer service. Scheduled to work Thursday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, this position pays $20.48 per hour. The Concierge role involves a variety of responsibilities including greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, providing information about lodge amenities and community resources, coordinating transportation and the EMPOWER Program services and schedules, responding to guest requests and emergencies, maintaining organized front desk operations, and monitoring lobby security to implement safety protocols.

Success in this position requires a professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and work independently, proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The Concierge will play a key role in supporting the ACS mission by ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive experience for all visitors, which aligns with the organization's broader goal of supporting cancer patients and their families.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Minimal travel required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
