The Bartender role at Oak View Group is essential to upholding this standard of excellence. As a bartender, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of all beverages—alcoholic and non-alcoholic—ensuring that every guest enjoys professional, personable, and timely service. The bartender must adhere closely to company standards, maintain knowledge of a wide variety of beverages including beer, wine, and spirits, and comply with all applicable state and federal alcohol laws. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
six months or more bartending experience
ability to handle cash accurately
capacity to work nights, weekends, and long hours
excellent communication skills
ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
self-directed with teamwork skills

Job Duties

Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service
follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and be able to suggestively upsell products to guests
pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
check guest's ID in accordance with regulations to verify minimum age requirement
communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
request additional products or restock products as needed
maintain responsibility for the issued bank at the bar
maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
perform other duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing the cooler as assigned
