The Bartender role at Oak View Group is essential to upholding this standard of excellence. As a bartender, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of all beverages—alcoholic and non-alcoholic—ensuring that every guest enjoys professional, personable, and timely service. Working within a fast-paced, dynamic event environment, this position demands adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The bartender must adhere closely to company standards, maintain knowledge of a wide variety of beverages including beer, wine, and spirits, and comply with all applicable state and federal alcohol laws. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • capacity to work nights, weekends, and long hours
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • self-directed with teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service
  • follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and be able to suggestively upsell products to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
  • check guest's ID in accordance with regulations to verify minimum age requirement
  • communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • request additional products or restock products as needed
  • maintain responsibility for the issued bank at the bar
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • perform other duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing the cooler as assigned
