Job Description
HHM Hotels is a distinguished hospitality company recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences across its network of luxury and lifestyle properties. This particular opportunity is situated within the Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division, a branch known for its dedication to premium service, sophisticated ambiance, and a commitment to excellence. HHM Hotels prides itself on fostering an inclusive, respectful, and dynamic work environment where diversity and equal opportunity are core values. As part of this tradition, the company ensures a supportive workplace that does not discriminate on any legally protected basis, reinforcing its reputation as an employer of choice within the hospitality industry.
The role available is for a full-time Bartender position, which is fundamental to creating memorable dining and social experiences for guests. This position requires an individual who can serve beverages and sometimes food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. A Bartender at HHM Hotels is not just responsible for mixing drinks but also for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with age verification laws, and contributing positively to overall guest satisfaction. This role holds significant potential for career growth, presenting a clear pathway from Beverage Manager to Restaurant Supervisor, then Restaurant Manager, and ultimately leading to Food & Beverage Manager positions.
In this position, the Bartender will perform tasks such as slicing and pitting fruit for garnishes, completing beverage requisitions, and assisting with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels. The role also encompasses responsibilities like issuing guest checks, processing payments, following safety and clean working standards, and adhering to sustainability guidelines under HHM's EarthView program. The Bartender is expected to be vigilant about managing intoxicated guests responsibly and to undertake side work before shift ends to ensure smooth operations. Above all, they are champions of guest satisfaction, regularly engaged in efforts to enhance departmental and overall guest experiences.
Candidates should be prepared for varied working hours that may include holidays, weekends, and shifts requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and some physical effort such as lifting up to 25 pounds. The position values prior bartending or mixology experience, and helpful certifications include TIPS and Food Sanitation, the latter of which must be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already held. The role demands a reliable, team-oriented professional dedicated to the craft of service and hospitality.
This opportunity represents a vital role within HHM Hotels' commitment to Excellence, Nimbleness, and Ownership, aligning with the company’s core beliefs: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. Aspiring professionals seeking to advance their hospitality careers are encouraged to apply and grow within this reputable organization, making a meaningful impact on guest enjoyment and the company’s distinguished legacy.
