Renowned for its exceptional care and vibrant community atmosphere, Homestead Hills is proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work. This accolade reflects the organization's unwavering commitment to cultivating a workplace where every team member feels valued, supported, and inspired. At the heart of Homestead Hills is the philosophy "People First, Always," which guides every interaction and initiative within the community. This approach ensures that both residents and staff experience an environment rich in respect, compassion, and meaningful connection. Homestead Hills offers a dynamic and nurturing setting where seniors enjoy an enriched quality of life through comprehensive care services and a wide array of engaging programs tailored to their diverse needs.
The role of Event Planner at Homestead Hills is a vital position that embodies this community-centered spirit. This role involves creating, marketing, and leading a diverse range of events and programs tailored specifically to the unique interests and wellness needs of an older adult population. These initiatives are designed to enhance the Weller Life experience for residents, addressing physical, emotional, intellectual, cultural, and spiritual dimensions to promote holistic wellness. The Event Planner is entrusted with developing and implementing multifaceted social programs that span independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings. This diversity requires a creative, organized, and enthusiastic individual capable of fostering inclusive experiences that empower residents to live their lives to the fullest.
Tasked with setting a leadership example, the Event Planner develops yearly and monthly calendars that reflect resident interests collected through feedback, interest questionnaires, and staff input. These programs are vibrant and varied, including themed events, educational opportunities, social gatherings, spiritual activities, day trips, cultural outings, lectures, informational meetings, and volunteer opportunities. The planner also maintains a detailed resource file of community options to continually offer fresh and engaging programming choices. Beyond planning, the role demands active participation in events, promoting resident involvement, maintaining attendance records, and adapting to changing needs by providing alternatives or substitutes as necessary.
Working collaboratively with marketing and other departments, the Event Planner helps blend social and promotional events to present a cohesive, engaging experience for residents and their families. Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and care, including upholding HIPAA guidelines, is essential. Representing Homestead Hills, the Event Planner fosters an atmosphere of respect and safety that aligns with the community's mission. This full-time position invites candidates passionate about making a significant impact in senior living and eager to join a team dedicated to excellence and genuine care.
