Job Requirements
- Pass appropriate security clearances per company policy
- One year experience in food and beverage position
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks like lifting up to 60 pounds, bending, stretching, and reaching
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Knowledge of age verification for alcohol service
- Ability to work any day/shift including weekends
- Physical presence at the hotel required, no telecommuting
Job Qualifications
- One year experience in food and beverage position
- Experience with chain food and retail outlet preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Food Handling and Alcohol Safety certifications preferred
- Knowledge of age requirements and verifying those who order alcoholic beverages
- Understanding of menu items, preparation methods and beverage choices
- Familiarity with various types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails trends and preparation
- Knowledge of brand standards of operation
- Awareness of area shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions to assist guests
- Computer literacy to operate property management system
- Friendly professional attitude
- Ability to sell, suggest and serve quality food and beverage items as per standards
- Ability to multi task and remain guest service centric
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving skills with a hospitable attitude
- Teamwork abilities in cleaning, side work, food preparation and storage
Job Duties
- Prepare and consistently maintain working area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere
- Prepare/serve drinks as requested by guests
- Process guest charges and gratuities in accordance to standards, policies and procedures
- Maintain safety and security practices, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service
- Maintain certification from a brand approved responsible vendor training program
- Maintain liquor inventory regularly
- Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing
