The US Foods Driver position is a critical role involving the safe operation of tractor trailers to transport various foodservice products from remote dispatch sites. This full-time role offers a consistent work schedule with shifts starting at 4 PM, Sunday through Friday, providing a reliable 5-day workweek. The starting wage for this position is $26.75 per hour, with potential overtime compensation based on hours worked. Drivers play an essential role in the supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products that help customers "Make It" every day. The role requires driving in various weather conditions and performing essential vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards. Drivers may also be called upon to perform backhaul or delivery duties as needed, underscoring the dynamic and versatile nature of the job.

This role demands a CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and at least six months of commercial driving experience, including doubles endorsement. Candidates must be comfortable working overnight hours and capable of operating manual transmissions where required. US Foods emphasizes safety, requiring registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse to monitor drivers' compliance with drug and alcohol regulations. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements
  • Minimum six months commercial driving experience
  • Doubles endorsement required
  • Comfortable working overnight

  • Must register to FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be able to communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience
  • Doubles endorsement required with minimum six months driving experience with doubles endorsements preferred
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English
  • Registration to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
  • May be called upon to perform duties of backhaul or delivery driver
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
  • Drive tractor trailers containing various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods
  • Operate vehicles in inclement weather conditions
  • Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
