Job Description
CBRE is a global leader in commercial real estate services and investment, renowned for helping businesses and individuals thrive by providing innovative property solutions and exceptional customer service. As a dynamic and forward-thinking company, CBRE operates within a collaborative culture that values respect, integrity, service, and excellence. This culture is enriched by the diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skillsets of its employees, who work together to create significant and lasting impacts in the commercial real estate industry. CBRE is committed to equal employment opportunity, valuing diversity and ensuring an inclusive environment where all qualified applicants are welcomed and supported. They also provide reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process to support candidates with disabilities. This commitment highlights the company's dedication to fostering an accessible and fair workplace for everyone.
The Meeting & Events Coordinator role at CBRE is a critical position within the Workplace Experience function, responsible for managing and executing small to medium-sized meetings, conferences, and events with precision and professionalism. This role requires delivering world-class customer service to both clients and visitors of a designated building, ensuring a hospitable and efficient event atmosphere. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for smaller meetings and events and offers support for larger, more complex gatherings as necessary.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members to manage guest services such as arrival experiences, transportation arrangements, signage, displays, special needs accommodations, printing tasks, and event security. The role involves active involvement in preparing the conference rooms by handling turnovers, midday refreshes, and reconfigurations for indoor and outdoor spaces while adhering to directions from senior team members. The coordinator is also tasked with responding promptly to event needs like gathering supplies, managing audio-visual equipment, food and beverage services, and ensuring facility security.
Technical proficiency is important as the role includes completing room setups, maintaining configurations and decor outlines for event spaces, conducting room checks, and troubleshooting audio and technical issues to maintain seamless event execution. The Meeting & Events Coordinator also manages a small inventory of event supplies and oversees the master calendar for event spaces, communicating schedules effectively with the team and service providers. Additionally, the position requires assisting with post-event reporting and reconciliation, escalating potential concerns when appropriate, and adhering to existing procedures and protocols.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $64,000 to $66,560 annually, or $30.77 to $32.00 per hour, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. The role demands physical capability, including the ability to lift or carry loads of 50 pounds or more, as well as duties involving standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs. Ideal candidates possess strong organizational skills, an inquisitive mindset, effective communication abilities, familiarity with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to follow established work routines and standards. CBRE seeks individuals authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Joining CBRE gives employees the opportunity to chart their own course and realize their potential within a globally recognized company that values human interaction and the unique experiences and aspirations of every candidate. CBRE does not use artificial intelligence tools for hiring decisions and encourages transparency regarding AI usage during the application and interview process. Overall, this role is well-suited for those who are motivated to deliver exceptional event coordination services, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute meaningfully to a leading commercial real estate organization.
