The Line Cook II role at Mandolin Aegean Bistro is a critical and highly skilled culinary position integral to the success of the kitchen team. The Line Cook II is responsible for the seamless preparation of food and sauces while assisting senior chefs during service periods. Unlike entry-level positions, this role requires hyper-specialization, demanding a demonstrated ability to execute all menu items flawlessly from preparation through to plating, particularly within two distinct kitchen stations.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Line Cook II must maintain composure, efficiency, and a positive influence on teammates, driving team morale and maintaining the highest culinary standards. Responsibilities extend beyond cooking, including kitchen maintenance, inventory support, and compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work on feet for 8-10 hours
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly
  • ability to handle fast-paced movements within kitchen and storage areas
  • flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as needed
  • exposure to varying temperatures such as cold and heat
