Employing more than 23,000 professionals, Acadia serves about 75,000 patients daily, making it the largest stand-alone behavioral health company in the U.S. The organization is dedicated to leading care with light, aiming to be a world-class entity that sets the benchmark for excellence in the treatment of mental health and addiction concerns. With a strong focus on compassion and innovation, Acadia Healthcare strives to remain a thought leader within the behavioral healthcare industry.

Acadia Healthcare, in partnership with Orlando Health, is establishing a state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital in Apopka, Florida, known as Cook – Orlando Behavioral Health Hospital, set to open in Spring 2026. This facility will feature 144 beds across two stories and is designed to meet the critical need for accessible, high-quality psychiatric care in the Orlando area. It will consolidate Orlando Health’s behavioral health services, enhancing psychiatric care and expanding the region's capacity to serve patients across Central Florida. The hospital will provide a comprehensive suite of behavioral health services to address growing demands within the community.

The Cook role at Orlando Behavioral Health Hospital involves supervising and executing menu implementation, coordinating food preparation, and serving meals within a healthcare setting. This position functions during a Mon-Fri early morning to early afternoon shift and requires working closely with Food Service leadership and dietitians to ensure that menus are nutritious, balanced, and appetizing. The Cook will also be responsible for maintaining equipment cleanliness, overseeing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. This dynamic role involves coordinating food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities to deliver quality food service that aligns with established policies, quality standards, cost parameters, and regulatory requirements. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a healthcare environment where nutrition plays a vital role in patient recovery and well-being.
