Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
  • Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and accurate food handling practices
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food by following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • Prepare the work area with all necessary ingredients and tools
  • Execute tasks such as measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use kitchen tools including knives and machinery like ovens, ranges, blenders
  • Apply cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare various food items
  • Organize, decorate, and serve food in accordance with predetermined standards
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of workspaces, tools, and implements
  • Uphold exceptional customer service and positive interactions with guests, customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Follow Aramark safety protocols to ensure food safety and workplace cleanliness
  • Protect corporate resources and maintain kitchen integrity
