We are currently seeking a competent and experienced line cook with a passion for food and strong time management skills to join our busy kitchen team. This role is crucial in ensuring that each meal prepared meets our high standards and is delivered precisely according to guest orders and our standardized recipes. The line cook will work across various stations, including poaching, braising, roasting, grilling, sautéing, and frying to maintain a seamless kitchen operation. Our ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication abilities who stays positive under pressure and keeps the kitchen efficient and organized.

This position offers an hourly wage between $19 and $21, reflecting the importance of expertise and reliability in this role. The successful candidate will engage in setting up cooking stations, managing ingredient preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Ability to work across multiple cooking stations including poaching, braising, roasting, grilling, sautéing, and frying
  • Strong time management skills
  • Prior experience in a busy kitchen environment preferred
  • Must be a team player with effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety standards
  • Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
  • Previous experience working in food service is preferred

Job Duties

  • Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
  • Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
  • Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
  • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
  • Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations
