Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of on the job training in food service
- Ability to perform patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware washing, and dish machine operation
- Ability to teach and train hires (for Food Specialist II and III)
- Hostess and catering duties (for Food Service Specialist III)
- Obtain Texas Food Handler's Certification within 30 days of start date (for Food Service Specialist I)
- Obtain Texas Food Manager Certification within 90 days of start date (for Food Service Specialist II and III)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of on the job training in food service
- Ability to perform a variety of food service functions including patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware wash, and dish machine operation
- Ability to teach and train new hires for Food Specialist II and III
- Hostess and catering experience for Food Service Specialist III
- Texas Food Handler's Certification for Food Service Specialist I
- Texas Food Manager Certification for Food Service Specialist II and III
Job Duties
- Perform food service tasks in accordance with healthcare standards
- Provide excellent customer service while serving guests
- Operate patient tray line
- Maintain floor care and cleanliness
- Wash carts and handle trash and grease removal
- Dispose of garbage properly
- Perform manual ware washing and operate dish machine
